Advocate Sarita Kanwar is the founder of STK Legal and has been in practice since 2014. Her work centres on recovery and civil litigation — appearing for banks, financial institutions and businesses before the Debt Recovery Tribunal, civil and commercial courts and consumer forums, and advising on property title and security documentation.
Individual clients come to the office for the same reason institutional ones do: matters are prepared personally, the position is stated honestly at the outset, and communication does not stop once the file is opened.

What happens in the first consultation?
You describe the matter, share any documents you have, and receive a plain assessment of where you stand — the likely remedy, the forum, the approximate timeline and what it will take. If there is no worthwhile legal remedy, you will be told that too.
Which documents should I bring?
Whatever exists: agreements, notices received or sent, sale deeds and title papers, loan or sanction documents, statements of account, and any court or tribunal papers already served on you. Incomplete papers are fine for a first meeting — the gaps can be identified then.
Do you act for banks and financial institutions?
Yes. The office handles recovery matters, DRT and securitisation proceedings, execution, legal search reports and mortgage opinions for banks, NBFCs and other lenders, alongside work for individual and corporate clients.
How are fees worked out?
Fees depend on the nature of the matter, the forum and the stage at which it is engaged. The basis is discussed and agreed before work begins, so there are no surprises later.
Can you advise if I am outside Delhi?
Advisory work, drafting, opinions and document review can be handled remotely. For matters requiring appearance, the office covers courts, tribunals and commissions in Delhi and the NCR.
